Faithfully Focused

The methods churches use and the message of the church seem to be at great odds.  The message of the Gospel is pure, beautiful, and sufficient.  The sinless Jesus caome to redeem mankind to His Father.  This is possible by faith and repentance.  However, methods used to proclaim the message seem to be overshadowing the message itself.  The fog machines, lighting systems, sound systems, and stage designs can be great tools but are used so often, they overshadow the gospel rather than complete the message.  The church is thus faced with a focus problem.  The focus of the church (to make disciples) is cloudy, unclear, and often times abandoned.

The seven churches addressed in the book of Revelation were not tempted by the digital sound-board, cool fog machine, or rear view PowerPoint projector.  However, they did have a focus problem.

Over the next 7 weeks we will look at these churches - not to decide which one we are - but to learn how to be FAITHFULLY FOCUSED.
