Missions is the overflow of worshipping God. We at The Creek believe the
best way to accomplish the Acts 1:8 outline is having a balanced approach to
missions. Our approach to missions is summed up by these words:
saturation, planting and adoption.
Saturation
Our community is where we begin. We believe in saturating our area with
Huddle Groups, special events and our Sunday Services. Some examples of
this include our participation in The Hope for RDU, assisting the Life Care
Pregnancy Center, helping the local schools and various community events.
Relationships are the key in the saturation process. We teach each member
they are missionaries without leaving their zip code.
Church Planting
We also believe in Church Planting. We believe this is one of the best ways to
reach people today. At this point in our church we are praying about our first
church plant and seeking ways we can assist new churches being started.
Adoption
Foreign missions is more than giving money. Our goal is to adopt a city and
people group in the 10/40 window (less than 2% evangelical) and love them,
pray for them, serve them, take yearly mission trips over to them, and plant
churches in their city. It is our prayer, as the Lord leads us to the city and
people group, that one (or many) of our families will serve as missionaries in
this city.
