We don’t just talk about missions at The Creek, we live it! We strive to be intentional and strategic in taking the Gospel to the streets. We want to invite you to join us as we work in our local communities and around the world for the Kingdom of God.
How does The Creek do missions?
Missions is the overflow of our worship of God. We believe the best way to accomplish the Acts 1:8 outline is having a balanced approach to missions. Our approach to missions is summed up in three words: saturation, planting and adoption.
Saturation
We begin in our local community. We want in to saturate our area with Huddle Groups, special events, and our Sunday Services. We have partnered with Hope for RDU, assisted the Life Care Pregnancy Center, helped the local schools and participated in community events. Relationships are the key in the saturation process and we encourage each member to be missionaries without leaving their zip code.
Church Planting
We believe Church Planting is one of the best ways to reach communities today. We are praying about our first church plant and actively assisting new churches just getting started.
Adoption
Foreign missions is more than giving money. Our goal is to adopt a city and people group in the 10/40 window, which is less than 2% evangelical, and love them, pray for them, serve them, visit them, and plant churches in their city. It is our prayer, as the Lord leads us to the city and people group, that one (or many) of our families will serve as missionaries in this city.
