Mission and Values

Our Mission

The Bible is clear that we exist to glorify God (Psalm 57:9-11, Romans 3:23). The Westminster Confession says it best, “the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.” God is glorified when our goal is His glory. Our purpose in being saved is for His glory. To bring Him honor above all things, through all situations is why we exist.

How does The Creek Church accomplish this?

Exalting Jesus

We know God, glorify God, and have a relationship with God because of what Jesus did on the cross. He took our place. God’s wrath was poured out on Him for us. (Romans 5:8).  We have salvation and purpose because of the cross. Therefore, we passionately EXALT JESUS in all areas of our ministry in order that God may be glorified.

Equipping Believers

There is one command given to the church and that is to make disciples. (Matt. 28:19-20). The purpose of this life is not just a verbal assent to Jesus but a life lived completely for Him. This journey has a starting point but is a progressive transition. Being equipped to live for the fame of His name is a life-long process. We take this very seriously at The Creek. If God were to ask us a question it would never be how many people came to our church, how many campuses we had, or how many did you baptize. The question would be, “Are you a mature follower of Christ?” We want to  “present everyone mature in Christ” (Col. 1:28).  The goal of equipping people takes place in our Huddle Groups and our Sunday morning teaching time but is not limited to these areas. Being ready to live this life is a progressive process that is lived out each day in each area of our lives.

Engaging the World

The message of Christ is for our neighbors and the nations (Acts 1:8). God is glorified when we take a strategic approach to reaching across our culture, socio-economic status, and the ocean to reach the world with the Gospel. A healthy church is a church whose strategy for engaging the world is balanced  – local and global. To neglect one in favor of the other would be unwise and unbiblical. We can carry out this by planting churches all over the world. We desire to partner with other like-minded churches to plant gospel centered churches all over our city, state, and world.
